Withdrawal Policy Statement – Prior to Event
- How do I properly withdraw from a tournament?
Prior to the start of a tournament, a player must call the PKBGT at 336-347-8537, email golf@pkbgt.org or use the Online Withdrawal Request Form. A refund or tour credit of tournament fees will be granted if the close date has not passed, minus a $25 processing fee. - What if the closing date has passed?
Following the closing date, you are not entitled to any tour credit or refund. Many courses require the Tour to lock-in an amount of players and thus the Tour is charged for this amount. Individual cases will be considered on a case by case basis. Should a credit be granted, it will be placed on your PKBGT tour account. - All withdrawals and transfers are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
Withdrawal Policy Statement – During Event
The following standard set forth by the PKBGT will be strictly enforced during PKBGT rounds. Players may appeal a withdrawal decision the PKBGT committee if they feel they have been unjustly labeled.
- What if a player withdraws from an event?
The PKBGT reports all withdrawals to the national & state rankings systems. Any injury or emergency withdrawal will not hurt the player. However, any player who chooses to walk-off the course (No Card) or has more than 1 unjustified withdrawal after starting a rankings event will be suspended from the rankings for 12 months. - What if a player quits (No Cards) during a round because of poor play or other non-justified reason?
The committee in charge of the tournament should report the player’s actions to the rankings committee and the player will be given a penalty score for that round equal to the highest individual score on that day from their division. - How do I properly withdraw from a tournament?
Once a round has begun play, all withdrawals must be done with the Tournament Director for that tournament or the withdrawal will be deemed unjustified. If you are not at the course, you must call the PKBGT Rules Hotline at 336-347-8537 to speak with the Tournament Director. No refund will be given for player’s withdrawing in between rounds in an event.
